Neighbors. We have already been blessed with such kind, wonderful neighbors.

To clear my overwhelming heart & mind today, Mike and I just went on a walk through our village. We ended up meeting the sweetest family from South Africa. The parents a little older than us, bought their home 3 months ago. Their very pregnant daughter is due any day with her first baby boy. She lives just down the hill. She is married to an Italian man and they were all so kind, generous and welcoming. They invited us to dinner tomorrow night and it was so comforting to have met them today. After telling them about our daughter Brett’s surgery… they said just down the hill is a chapel. It’s truly what I needed today. God has a way of placing you in the path of the right people at the right time. We’re so looking forward to tomorrow night & having dinner with our new neighbors.

Our neighbor Giovanni stopped by to tell us his friend, the plumber will be here Friday after 4:30 pm. He will accompany him to translate. With all the overwhelming issues we’re facing, simple gestures of friendly and welcoming neighbors means the world to us.
